Leading Trailer Manufacturer Great Dane Trailers Launches Serial Number
Parts Database Developed By GGS

York, PA -- GGS Information Services of York, PA, a global provider of technical information management services, has announced that it has developed a custom parts database system, designed for a leading trailer manufacturer, Great Dane Trailers of Savannah, Georgia, a division of Great Dane Limited Partnership.

"We at Great Dane will launch our new Parts Database System in January, 2002. This Initiative will allow us to stand firmly behind our goal of improving our service to our customers while also increasing our after-market parts business," noted John Wall, Director of Parts Operations.

IIn making the announcement, the company noted that the creation and deployment of an illustrated parts database per serial number will incorporate all parts which comprise the firm’s complete product line of refrigerated, dry freight and platform style trailers. This system will allow either a Great Dane branch location or authorized distributor to immediately access the correct parts information, which will lead to quicker turnaround times for customer service and repair, while also providing for improved efficiency in obtaining the correct needed parts.
