New Bank's Premium On Technology,
Makes Paperless Office A Reality

YORK, Pa.—York Traditions Bank is living up to its promise to deliver a technology-driven operation along with old-fashioned, customer-first values. With the help of DocuScan USA®, a local document imaging and scanning firm and their relation ship with LaserFiche document imaging software, based in Long Beach, CA, the brand-new bank is well on its way to every banker’s dream: a paperless office.

With 101 years of collective experience, the bank’s senior leadership knew which technologies kept their promises and which ones sat unused. The new bank needed to cast an eye toward the future, without compromising its ability to meet stringent banking regulations. DocuScan USA offered a LaserFiche database that could hold millions of scanned documents, while its built-in security features could provide management with peace of mind.

The bank also needed a locally-based solution provider to implement the LaserFiche system, as well as integrate its many benefits with a reliable management system. Nearby DocuScan USA dispatched its tech-savvy team of engineers to design a custom program that combined easy-to-use LaserFiche technology with industry-standard bank management software.

"DocuScan USA and LaserFiche provided us with the modern tools that, today, greatly reduce our paper-flow and add efficiency to our processing of paper-based information," said John Blecher, the bank’s chief financial officer.

"Often, software programs that are friendly to IT staff are not friendly to the folks expected to use them everyday," said LaserFiche regional sales manager Steve Samuelson. "LaserFiche allows technical staff to mold a solution suited to the company’s needs, while office staff sees a familiar interface that’s a snap to learn."

For seven months, York Traditions Bank has been scanning and electronically archiving a majority of their paper documents. The Bank’s staff can use a text search feature to find documents within seconds, while built-in security features protect the customers’ private financial information.

York-based DocuScan USA is a full-service document imaging provider that supplies software, image-capture hardware, technical support, and backfile scanning services to firms in the Mid-Atlantic region.

LaserFiche (www.laserfiche.com), headquartered in Long Beach, CA, creates software that allows distribution of digital records to employees, business partners and customers and has- over 18,000 installations, including government agencies, educational institutions, businesses (including a broad cross-section of Fortune 1000 corporations) and non-profit organizations.
